General terms of business

1. Participants can enrol online under www.leipzig-interventional-course.de, or by mail using the attached registration form, or by fax (Fax-No. 0049 89 13936704). You will receive a confirmation of your registration in the form of a bill. Please remit the amount stated in the bill to one of the bank accounts indicated not later than one week before the congress commences. Participants not having received a bill for the participation fee in good time are requested to prove or effect payment when registering in the congress centreprior to commencement of the congress.

1.1 No additional confirmation of registration will be issued. Participants may also register directly at the check-in desk. However, we would like to point out that you might have to expect waiting times at the check-in desk should you appear on the first morning of the congress without having enrolled prior to congress start. We therefore strongly recommend that you register in advance tomake everything easier both for you and for us!

1.2 When you enrol for the congress, you accept our participation conditions, the congress fees and our exclusion of liability.

2. Cancellation

2.1 Participants may cancel registration at any time. Should you cancel your registration, however, after the pre-registration deadline has expired, (i.e. after midnight of January 8, 2010) congress and/or workshop fees will be payable in full. Fees already paid will not be refunded.

2.2 Instead of cancelling your registration, you may also name a substitute, and we will change the reservation accordingly at no additional cost. The original congress participant, however, will continue to be liable for paying the fees; fees will not be refunded to the original congress participant. A change of reservation will not entitle you to a corresponding correction of the congress papers (list of participants, etc.) However, CongO GmbH will endeavour to correct the congress papers accordingly. A change of registration will only become effective if the new congress participant has accepted our general terms of business.

2.3 Cancellation or change of registration must be made in writing in order to be valid. Cancellations or changes of registration by phone will not be valid. If you send a fax or an e-mail under www.leipzig-interventional-course.de, this will be deemed sufficient in terms of compliance with the requirement to submit cancellations or changes of registration in writing.

3. Hotel Reservations

3.1 We have reserved a limited contingent of rooms in advance for the congress participants at the hotels listed in the registration form. Reasonable room rates will be offered. However, you may reserve rooms at more favourable conditions when booking accommodation through other reservation systems (e.g. on the Internet), since these systems usually book larger contingents in the respective hotels. In the low season you may find special short-term offers at prices below those we have negotiated. CongO GmbH will not assume any liability if higher room rates are charged to congress participants.

3.2 Room reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to five days before the congress begins. After this deadline, congress participants will pay 90% of the agreed room rate, based on the period for which the room was rented.

3.3 Due to the limited number of rooms, CongO does not guarantee that all congress participants will be able to reserve the room of their choice in the hotel selected, or that they will be able to reserve a room at all, for example if the contingent is exhausted. In this event, we will notify congress participants accordingly as quickly as possible after having received their requests for reservations. CongO will, however, endeavour to meet all requests for reservation. If circumstances require, reservation requests will be considered on a first come, first-served basis.

3.4 On the agreed day of departure, the room must be vacated and made available to the hotel by twelve noon at the latest. If you use your room beyond this deadline, the hotel will charge you EUR 10.00 per additional hour. If the hotel room has not been vacated by 7:30 p.m. on the scheduled day of departure, the hotel management may charge the full accommodation price.

3.5 CongO will be liable only for services actually performed by themselves in accordance with the statutory regulations. Any further liability is excluded. This shall apply in particular to third-party services provided by hotel and catering services, transfer and tourist services as well as other work performances or services. CongO will only act as an intermediary here. Liability claims for such third-party services may only be asserted against the respective service provider. In addition, CongO will be liable for faulty contractual performance, unlawful acts or, in the case of culpa in eligendo, for intent and gross negligence only.

4. CongO expressively reserves the right to change the congress topics listed in the program or to engage other lecturers. CongO also reserves the right to make changes regarding the announced hands-on workshops, without assuming any liabilityfor any such changes.
